William Engel, DVM

Will founded Ridgeview Veterinary Practice in 1989. He lives on-site with his various dogs and horses and one miniature donkey. He received his BS degree from Purdue University and his DVM degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced in Kentucky and in Mount Airy and Upper Marlborough, MD, before opening Ridgeview. In his spare time, Will enjoys carpentry and photography.

Brandy Snedden, DVM

Brandy lives in Frederick with her big black dog and two cats. She received her BS degree in equine science from Otterbein College and her DVM degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Brandy joined Ridgeview Veterinary Practice in July of 2006. She is pictured with her half-Arabian gelding Abracadabra, whom she has had since birth.

Kelley Williams

Kelley graduated from St. Mary's College of Maryland with a degree in mathematics. She lives in Germantown with husband Danny, son Jona, dog Dory and two cats. Kelley keeps two horses, Gulliver and Cuffy, at her mother's A Bit Better Farm. She events up to the intermediate level; buys, retrains and sells off-the-track thoroughbreds; and offers some instruction and training.

Christin Knuth

Christin grew up in Montgomery County. She majored in both business management and equine studies at Averett College in Danville, VA. She lives in Frederick with husband Jesse, a Montgomery County police officer, their son, Jaden, and dog Furlough. Her riding history includes eventing (up to the preliminary level), foxhunting and hunter-jumper showing. She currently owns a seven-year-old thoroughbred gelding named Bull..

Katie Murphy

Katie Murphy grew up in Laytonsville, MD. She has been riding and eventing for about 20 years. Katie is a graduate “A” from Redland Hunt Pony Club and has competed through intermediate in eventing. Her work experience includes exercising racehorses on the track and starting young horses. Katie is currently eventing two horses that she got off the racetrack. She also still has her first two event horses that are enjoying their retirement.
